Austrian IFMA Board undergoes restructuring
The Austrian chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) has announced a new structure and direction for Facility Management Austria (FMA). The changes, unveiled at the annual general meeting in June, aim to set new standards in association work and position FMA as a leader in the industry.
The new board, elected during the meeting, is composed of 12 members, each responsible for a central thematic focus. Mikis Waschl has been appointed as the President, with Marcel Kremmer serving as Vice-Chair.
One of the key focuses of the new direction is user-centricity, ensuring that FMA's work aligns with the needs and expectations of its members. This is reflected in the appointment of Janine Schulyok, who will concentrate on Human Centeredness, and Doris Bele, who will oversee Communication and Members.
Sustainability and climate protection are also high on the agenda, with Bernd Stampfl taking the lead in this area. The search results do not provide the name of the board member responsible for sustainability and climate protection, but FMA's commitment to these issues is clear.
The new direction also includes a focus on smart building technologies, supply chain stability, ESG criteria, hybrid working models, and expanded international activities. Johannes Messner-Haidenthaler will be responsible for Digitalization, while Günther Hirner will handle Rights and Obligations.
Christina Ipser has been appointed to focus on Training and Competence, ensuring that FMA continues to provide its members with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. Robert Punzenberger, meanwhile, will concentrate on Membership and Communication.
Manuel Radauer has been named as the Secretary of the new board, responsible for organising and documenting the board's activities.
The new board is eager to embrace fresh formats and increased focus on digitalisation, as well as increased focus on sustainability and legal certainty. They look forward to leading FMA into a new era and driving positive change within the facility management industry.
