Authorities apprehended the offender

A caravan theft occurred in Sprockhövel on the 10th of July, 2025. Two male suspects were involved, one of whom has been arrested. The other remains at large.

The caravan was attached to a VW car with stolen Bottrop license plates. Witnesses reported seeing the caravan moving from its original parking spot around 2:45 AM.

The police launched a search operation, involving a helicopter and a police dog. During the search, a 50-year-old man from Sprockhövel was arrested.

The stolen caravan was later found on a parking lot in Kleinbeck Street. The caravan's owner confirmed the break-in via his mobile phone.
