Authorities are seeking individuals who may have observed a specific event.
On the evening of July 22, 2025, an attempted burglary took place in an apartment on Panjestraße, Elmshorn. The resident of a ground-floor apartment was alerted by noises and voices coming from his kitchen.
As he approached the room, he saw a man with his arm reaching through an open window. The suspect, who spoke in a language the resident did not understand, fled immediately when addressed. The resident described the suspect as approximately 35 years old, with short black hair, wearing a black shirt and jeans, having a 3-day beard, and having an unusually strong body odor.
It is unclear whether another person was nearby or if the man was talking to himself. The police have not identified the suspect at this time. The incident did not cause any damage, and the investigation into the attempted burglary is being handled by the Pinneberg Criminal Police.
