Authorities in POL Swabia North have launched an investigation following reports of damages to properties in the area.
In Ludwig-Thoma-Straße, a transformer station was vandalised on July 28, 2025, causing approximately 200 euros worth of damage. The police are actively investigating the incident and have identified three juveniles, aged between 13 and 14, as potential suspects.
According to the Police Headquarters Swabia North, the juveniles were observed committing the vandalism around 5:30 PM. Witnesses alerted the authorities, who subsequently stopped and checked the juveniles, finding spray cans on them.
The police are seeking more information or evidence related to the incident. They are also working to identify any possible accomplices and are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
The investigation is being led by Kriminaldirektor Simon Crauser, who took over as head of the Criminal Specialist Department 1 Augsburg on August 1, 2025. The police are actively seeking to apprehend the juvenile suspects, with one of them, a 14-year-old, being named as a suspect in the vandalism case.
