Authorities in Poland are currently searching for a motorist who fled the scene of a car accident in Selm.
On July 13, 2025, a traffic accident occurred on Cappenberger Damm in Selm at approximately 17:20. The incident involved a 54-year-old man from Lünen who was riding a motorcycle and an unknown driver of a car.
As the motorcyclist was heading towards Selm on Cappenberger Damm, the driver of the car, approaching from the same direction, took up 2/3 of the lane. In an attempt to avoid a collision, the motorcyclist swerved, losing control of his motorcycle in the process and ending up in a ditch.
The motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, no information has been provided about the current condition or prognosis of the injured individual.
The motorcycle involved in the accident was no longer roadworthy.
The police are currently looking for the driver responsible for the hit-and-run accident.
