On August 25, 2022, at around 5:00 PM, an unfortunate incident took place in Gerlingen. An 87-year-old woman was involved in a car accident near the town hall square.

The woman, who was driving a Citroën, was parking her car when she mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. This unexpected movement caused her car to collide with the façade of the city archive, shattering windows.

The car drove over an adjacent footpath and down a planted slope before coming to a stop. The accident occurred near the Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters, and the car collided with the façade of the city archive, which is located close to the headquarters.

The woman, who works at the Landespolizeipräsidium Ludwigsburg, was involved in the incident on August 28, 2022, around 5:00 PM in the area of Rathausplatz in Gerlingen.
