In the heart of Wolfsburg city center, a significant incident unfolded on Tuesday afternoon, as the Commercial Affairs Office of the city, in collaboration with local police officers, conducted a search and seizure operation at a commercial premises located on Poststraße.

The operation, which took place during the premises' opening hours from 11:20 AM to 4:20 PM, was based on a search warrant requested by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Braunschweig and issued by a judge. The warrant was issued following a youth protection control that revealed numerous violations against the Tax Code and the Tobacco Products Act.

During the search, several hundred tobacco products, including untaxed vapes and cans of snus, were found. A 36-year-old man, who disturbed the search measures during the operation, was ordered to leave the premises but did not comply, leading to his arrest with judicial approval. The man's name has not been disclosed in the available sources.

The findings led to the initiation of criminal and administrative offense proceedings, with the Public Prosecutor's Office in Braunschweig taking further action against the operator of the commercial premises.
