Authorities probe late-night burglary at Alexandria tobacco store
In the early hours of this morning, a burglary took place at Alexandria Vape and Tobacco, located at 1213 King Street in Old Town.
According to the Alexandria Police Department (APD), two suspects smashed the front door of the store and fled the scene at approximately 5:30 a.m. The incident is currently under investigation by the APD.
The owner of Alexandria Vape and Tobacco was working nearby when he heard the glass shatter. He immediately reported the incident to the APD and also to local news outlet ALXnow. The owner stated that the suspects appeared to be drunk.
