Authorities seek bystanders who may have observed a theft in a gambling haven.
In the quiet town of Kerpen, Germany, an unusual incident unfolded on the night of Saturday, August 2. Two masked individuals are suspected of breaking into a children's playground located on Hermann-Löns-Straße, more specifically at the Games Paradise.
According to the Rhein-Erft-Kreis Police, the suspects allegedly forced their way into the property at around 2:15 AM. They rammed through the iron gate of the property several times before fleeing the scene, using a white Mercedes SUV that was later discovered abandoned near the street "Auf dem Bürrig."
The suspects were reportedly seen searching various rooms within the Games Paradise, and a criminal complaint has been prepared by the police. However, at present, there are no details available regarding the identities of these individuals.
The police are currently investigating the method of entry into the building and whether anything else was stolen, apart from the car. The direction of the suspects' escape was via Berliner Ring, Erftstraße, and Erfttalstraße towards Kerpen.
The Rhein-Erft-Kreis Police are actively investigating this incident, with the detectives of the Criminal Investigation Department 22 leading the case. They are appealing for witnesses to come forward and provide any tips that could help in the investigation.
