Authorities Seek Essential Information

In the heart of Bonn, Germany, an incident of robbery occurred on Monday afternoon, August 18, 2025. The victim, an 88-year-old woman, was walking in the Weststadt area when she was targeted.

According to a news release by the Police Bonn via news aktuell, the robbery took place on Poppelsdorfer Allee near Poppelsdorfer Castle at around 12:00 PM. The suspect, described as a man approximately 45 years old, 1.80 meters tall, with a hunched posture, tanned skin, and an unkempt appearance, pushed the elderly woman into a hedge before snatching her handbag from her rollator bag.

The woman was not injured in the incident, but the suspect managed to escape on a bicycle towards Poppelsdorfer Castle. The immediate search of the area did not result in the suspect's apprehension.

The investigation into this robbery has been taken up by the Criminal Police, who are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
