In the heart of Mönchengladbach, five car break-ins were reported on Monday, November 4th, between the hours of 7:30 and 8:30 AM. The Mönchengladbach Police are currently investigating these incidents, and are urging witnesses who may have observed anything suspicious to contact them at 02161-290.
The break-ins occurred at three crime scenes on Abteistraße, with one each on Johann-Peter-Boelling-Platz and Weiherstraße. The suspects gained access to the vehicles by smashing windows on the passenger side.
Stolen items include perfume bottles, clothing, a tablet, and glasses. The Mönchengladbach Police advise against leaving valuable items in your car, as even items hidden in the trunk are not completely safe. If valuable items are visible in the car, insurance coverage may not apply.
If you have been a victim of theft, it is important to report it to the Mönchengladbach Police. Do not make any changes to your vehicle after a break-in, as this may potentially interfere with the investigation.
