Authorities seek out persons who witnessed a hit-and-run incident
In Dinslaken on Friday, August 29, 2025, an unfortunate hit-and-run traffic incident occurred at the intersection of Oberhausener Straße/Brinkstraße.
An 8-year-old boy, who was riding his bicycle towards Jägerstraße from the city center, was involved in the incident. The boy initially stopped at a red light and proceeded when it turned green. As he was crossing the intersection at a pedestrian crossing, a car, traveling in the same direction, failed to notice him and caused the boy to fall and sustain minor injuries.
The car, the driver of which is currently unknown, was traveling from Oberhausener Straße onto Brinkstraße and continued towards Holtener Straße without stopping. The car attempted to turn right from Oberhausener Straße onto Brinkstraße.
The police are actively seeking witnesses and information about the driver involved in this incident.
