Authorities seek vital information

In Witten, Germany, an 86-year-old resident fell victim to a burglary under false pretenses on September 2. The incident occurred at an apartment on Bachstraße in the centre of Witten around 3 p.m.

The suspect, described as a male between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 175-180 cm tall, with "dark" skin colour, wearing a blue shirt and pants, sporty style, a cap on his head, and tattoos on his neck, is believed to have posed as a city utilities employee to gain entry.

After the suspect left, the elderly woman noticed that her apartment had been searched. The incident is a case of burglary under false pretenses, and the police are still investigating what was taken.

The police are urging citizens to be vigilant and not let strangers into their homes. If something seems suspicious, they are advised to call the emergency number 110.
