Automaker GWM broadens Haval H6 offerings, unveils price details for plug-in and all-wheel-drive hybrid models
New Haval H6 Range Expands with Hybrid Models
In an exciting development, Great Wall Motors (GWM) has announced the expansion of the Haval H6 range with the introduction of hybrid models. The new additions, the Haval H6 Lux 2WD Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), the Haval H6 Lux, HEV Lux, and the Haval H6 Ultra AWD Hybrid, will be available nationwide from mid-September 2025.
The Haval H6 Lux, HEV Lux, and HEV Ultra come equipped with a host of features to enhance comfort and convenience. The interior boasts microfibre leather steering wheel, Comfort Tek leather seats, dual zone climate control with rear vents, power windows with auto windows + anti pinch, and a 10.25" digital instrument cluster. The rear USB outlets x2 and the 5oW wireless phone charger ensure that passengers stay connected on the go.
The Haval H6 Lux and HEV Lux offer a 14.6" touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM, while the Haval H6 Ultra AWD Hybrid (Petrol Ultra and PHEV Ultra) elevates this with 9 speaker audio. The Haval H6 Lux also features voice command for added convenience.
The Haval H6 Ultra AWD Hybrid debuts GWM's advanced Hi4 technology in a non-plug-in format, delivering all-wheel drive capability with the smoothness and refinement of a traditional hybrid system. This variant introduces a panoramic sunroof, front heated / ventilated seats, and a front passenger 4-way power adjustable seat to the interior features. It also adds front parking sensors to the safety features.
The Haval H6 Lux is being introduced with a new 2WD Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) variant, priced at $44,990 driveaway, offering an accessible entry into plug-in hybrid motoring. The Haval H6 Ultra AWD Hybrid, on the other hand, is being introduced at $47,490 driveaway.
Both new Haval H6 hybrids are covered by the GWM Care program, which offers a 7-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, 8-year battery warranty, 5-year roadside assistance, and 5-year capped-price servicing. The Haval H6 hybrids will be available through GWM's expanding dealer network of 117 outlets nationwide.
The developers of the hybrid systems used in the Haval H6 Lux 2WD Plug-in Hybrid and the Haval H6 Ultra AWD Hybrid are Great Wall Motors (GWM), who have evolved their plug-in hybrid technology with a drivetrain design similar to the BYD Shark, featuring an internal combustion engine and electric motors without a traditional driveline in the middle.
The Haval H6 Lux, HEV Lux, and HEV Ultra also feature exterior enhancements such as 19" black alloy wheels, LED DRL's, auto LED headlights, auto high beam, and LED taillights. The Haval H6 Ultra AWD Hybrid adds auto parking assist (ex. PHEV), auto reverse assist (ex. PHEV), and heated steering wheel to the driver features.
