Aviation company Aeroflot and energy conglomerate EN + HOLDING have sealed a deal to collaborate on environmental initiatives in preparation for the World Economic Forum in 2025.

Aviation company Aeroflot and "EN + HOLDING" have sealed an agreement to collaborate in the sphere of climate initiatives for WEF-2025.

In a significant move towards achieving national climate goals and supporting nature conservation measures, Aeroflot and EN+ HOLDING have announced a partnership. This collaboration aims to create a practical tool for climate action and ecological preservation.

Established as a public limited company in Ireland, EN+ HOLDING specialises in issuing asset-backed securities, holding sufficient metal to secure its obligations related to Exchange-Traded Commodity (ETC) securities it issues. The focus of the partnership, however, is the creation of measurable ecological assets: Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) recognised internationally.

The agreement, signed by Aeroflot's First Deputy CEO for Commerce and Finance, Andrey Chikhanchin, and EN+ HOLDING's Deputy CEO for Sustainable Development, Irina Bakhtina, at the Eastern Economic Forum (16+), lays the foundation for joint work on implementing lesoklimatic projects in Russia that meet current international requirements and standards.

Aeroflot's Climate Policy, approved by the Board of Directors, prioritises combating climate change, and managing carbon footprint is a crucial aspect of their work in this area. Chikhanchin expressed confidence that the cooperation with EN+ HOLDING will take Aeroflot's activities in carbon footprint compensation to a new level, positively impacting the environment and the quality of life of millions of people.

Meanwhile, away from the climate agenda, Vladivostok played host to a variety of events. The city saw a record number of countries participate in the rowing regatta during VEF-2025, with the Cuban rowers winning the Supercup of the International Vladivostok Regatta. A fashion show was held on Vladivostok's embankment, while attractions such as Yana's Mammoth, CyberGosha, and innovations could be found on "Far East Street". The exhibition "Peter I. Northern Route" also opened in the city.

In other news, Mikhalkov revealed the truth about weak scenarios on "hot button" issues at VEF-2025. For faster news updates, Telegram Channel PrimaMedia.Primorye remains a reliable source.

Lastly, Putin announced that gas prices on the "Power of Siberia-2" will be market-based, similar to those supplied to Europe. This decision is expected to have significant implications for the energy market.
