- Awaiting an extraordinary escapade: the role of the supervisor.
Alina Merkau, the popular host of the "Sat.1 Morning Show," has announced that she and her family are embarking on a significant change. Over the weekend, Merkau shared the news on her Instagram account that they are leaving Berlin and moving to the Spanish island of Ibiza for a year.
Initially, the plan was to spend a vacation week in Ibiza. However, Merkau's fascination with the island and its lifestyle has led to a decision to make it their home for a year. Merkau believes in living life to the fullest, and this move to Ibiza is a testament to that belief.
Merkau started her career in television hosting with Sat.1 in October 2014, but before that, she was a radio host and actress. Her husband, Rael Hoffmann, who will join her and their children in this new adventure, is an event manager. They have been a couple since 2013, married in 2018, and have two children together. Their daughter, Rosa, was born in 2016, and their son, Carlo, joined the family in 2021.
After the vacation week, the children will attend school and kindergarten in Ibiza. Merkau has expressed excitement about this move, but also expects it to be challenging. She emphasized that she will continue with the "Morning Show" despite the move, ensuring her fans that they will still be able to start their day with her.
Merkau isn't the first to make this move, and she hasn't met anyone who regretted living in Ibiza for a year. The island's unique lifestyle, beautiful beaches, and vibrant culture seem to be a draw for many. Merkau's move to Ibiza is undoubtedly a huge adventure, and we look forward to following her journey.
