The European Basketball Championship is set to tip off on August 27th, and Telekom is pulling out all the stops to provide comprehensive coverage. The tournament will see a studio in Tampere, Finland during the group stage and another in Riga, Latvia during the final round.

Telekom has engaged a team of expert commentators to provide insights throughout the championship. While the expert commentator engaged by Telekom for the live coverage of the tournament remains unnamed in available search results, one notable addition is Moritz Wagner. Wagner, a German basketball player, will accompany live broadcasts exclusively for MagentaSport, offering TV analysis for selected German and international top games.

Wagner aims to increase basketball's reach through his involvement in the championship and hopes to provide a different perspective on the sport. In addition to his on-screen analysis, Wagner will also offer expert insights in the podcast 'EuroBasket Spezial' on MagentaSport.

Another German NBA star participating in the tournament is Dennis Schröder. Wagner's fellow countryman, Franz Wagner, will also be a part of the action, but unfortunately, another German basketball player is unable to participate due to a knee injury.

The games in the group stage will be played in Tampere, Finland, with the knockout phase taking place in Riga, Latvia. In addition to live games, there will be daily DBB updates during the championship. These updates will include information, analyses, highlights, top ten rankings, opponent checks, and player portraits.

Telekom aims to set new standards in basketball reporting during the European Basketball Championship. Alongside the studio coverage and live games, there will be podcasts, historical games, documentaries, and more available for fans to enjoy. The journalistic centre for the tournament will be in Munich.

The first German game in the tournament will be against Montenegro on Wednesday at 14:45. With an exciting lineup of events and expert analysis, the European Basketball Championship is shaping up to be an unmissable event for basketball fans across the continent.
