Berlin Catastrophe Unraveled: Facts Explored and Information Yet to Surface
In a shocking incident that occurred in Berlin-Wedding on Thursday afternoon, a car collision left several individuals injured, including three children and a caretaker. The accident took place at around 12:50 PM on Seestraße, corner Dohnagestell.
According to the latest police reports, the group was crossing the street when a 20-year-old driver, who was later provisionally arrested, allegedly ran a red light and drove onto the sidewalk. As a result, the children, aged between seven and eight, from Moabit, as well as the driver and the caretaker, were involved in the accident.
The caretaker sustained severe injuries, while the children and the driver were lightly injured. All four were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Investigations suggest that the driver may have been under the influence of intoxicating substances. However, no terrorist motive or act of violence has been indicated. It's important to note that the exact cause of the accident is not yet known, and further details about the driver and the injured caretaker are not available at this time. The incident attracted over 40 emergency service personnel, who treated a total of 19 people at the scene. The severity of the children's injuries is described as light.
