"BHC Expresses Cautious Optimism"
BHC News: A New Season Awaits as Key Players Return and New Talents Join the Roster
The Bundesliga Handball Club (BHC) is gearing up for an exciting new season, with several changes and developments taking place within the team.
After a loan spell in Dormagen, Sören Steinhaus has returned to the BHC, adding strength to the team's midfield. Meanwhile, Nico Schöttle has recovered from an injury and will be back in action, bolstering the back court. The team has also welcomed two new additions: Lars Kooij, joining from Vardar Skopje, and Nico Schöttle, who returns to the BHC from TVB Stuttgart.
The BHC's season will kick off with a home game against HC Erlangen on Wednesday, 3rd September, at 7 pm in the Uni-Hall. The following Saturday, 6th September, the team will face TVB Stuttgart away, with the match scheduled for 8 pm.
The away game against Füchse Berlin is set for 6th September 2021, while the opponent for the away game on 17th December 2021 is yet to be confirmed. The "highlight game" on 24th May 2026 will take place at the Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin.
The pre-sale for the "highlight game" in the Düsseldorf PSD Bank Dome on 24th May 2026 will commence at a date yet to be announced (for more information, visit this link).
Despite the departure of Djibril M'Bengue, the sporting director, Fabian Gutbrod, has no plans to replace him, with Johannes Wasielewski and Elias Scholtes set to absorb his role in the existing squad. Unfortunately, Belal Ibrahim Massoud will be missing due to an injury.
The BHC's budget is between four and five million euros, and the business manager, Tychy, is grateful for the reliable partners the club has. The construction of a multi-purpose arena on the former Schaeffler site in Varresbeck is crucial for the BHC's survival, as the current Uni-Hall is not competitive in the long run.
The BHC's season goal is to stay in the league, and the team is eager to demonstrate its potential and resilience on the court. The club has already sold 1,000 season tickets or partner tickets, reflecting the strong support from its fans.
As the new season approaches, the BHC is ready to face the challenges ahead, with renewed determination and a strong team spirit. Stay tuned for more updates on the BHC's progress throughout the season.
