Bike Mishap on Polish Road: Cyclist Sustains Minor Injuries Following Accident

A cyclist from Hückelhoven was lightly injured in a traffic accident on the B57 road near Linnich on July 14, 2025.

The accident occurred at the junction of Franzosenberg/B57, where a car, driven by a 51-year-old individual from the same town, was turning right onto the B57 towards Baal. The cyclist, aged 67, was riding his bike on the cycle path from Baal towards Linnich when he was hit by the car.

The cyclist fell onto the road and sustained minor injuries. An ambulance was promptly called to the scene to take him to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car stated that he did not see the cyclist before the collision.

The police president of the Düren Police, while not explicitly named in the search results regarding the traffic accident in Linnich, is likely to be Frank Hoever. He was mentioned in the context of police activities in September 2025 in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).
