Bike Mystery: Whereabouts of the Mountain Bike Unknown

In a recent incident, a high-quality mountain bike was stolen during a targeted operation on Bergheimer Street, Neuss, on Tuesday night around 02:50 AM. The stolen bike is a black Canyon mountain bike, and its frame number has been intentionally removed, making it harder for the police to identify.

The suspect, a 35-year-old man from Neuss, was apprehended, but the stolen backpack was not found. The backpack contained several small bags of amphetamine and cannabis.

To help deter opportunistic thieves and aid in identifying the owner if the bike is stolen, coding a bicycle is recommended. This process involves placing an individual sticker on the bike that can be checked by police officers on site. Individual markings, such as bicycle frame numbers, are also helpful in identifying stolen items.

The police have made information on how to code a bicycle available on their website. Subscribers to the police newsletter can also find this information, along with updates on social developments, culinary arts, art, and culture in Neuss.
