In the evening of Thursday, September 3, 2025, the Warendorf Police successfully identified the cyclist involved in an accident that occurred on September 2, 2025, on Warendorfer Straße in Ahlen. The unfortunate incident left a 14-year-old resident of Ahlen with minor injuries.

According to the police report, transmitted via news aktuell, the accident took place at around 4:30 PM on September 2. The 14-year-old was riding an e-scooter towards the city center when he was struck by a cyclist at the entrance to a supermarket. At the time of the accident, the teenager was dismounting his e-scooter.

The cyclist, described as approximately 40 to 45 years old with dark blonde hair, fled the scene after the accident. The bicycle or e-bike involved in the accident is olive green.
