Blockchain Leaders Summit Tokyo 2025 (BLS Tokyo 2025) successfully wrapped up with the participation of B Dash Ventures and Hashed.
Global blockchain venture capital firm Hashed and Japan's leading venture capital B Dash Ventures co-hosted the Blockchain Leaders Summit Tokyo 2025 on September 27th, 2025, in Tokyo, Japan. The summit, one of Japan's largest invitation-only technology events, brought together around 400 blockchain industry leaders to discuss the future of Web3.
Key speakers at the summit included Masao Shimazaki, Deputy Director-General of Japan's Financial Services Agency (JFSA), Caroline D. Pham, Acting Commissioner of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Genki Oda, Chairman of Japan Virtual and Crypto Assets Exchange Association (JVCEA), Aya Hamoodi, Corporate Lead of Value Creation at Hub71, Yat Siu, Chairman of Animoca Brands, and David Allan Katz, Vice President of Asia-Pacific Strategy and Policy at Circle.
The summit focused on various themes, such as regulation, stablecoins, and the convergence of intellectual property with blockchain. Masao Shimazaki of Japan's FSA noted efforts to strengthen transparency in disclosures, address unregistered foreign operators, and ensure fair market pricing in Web3 regulation.
Hashed CEO Simon Seojoon Kim emphasized that stablecoins are essential infrastructure for the mass adoption of blockchain applications. Kim also highlighted Hashed's portfolio company Modhaus and its K-pop project tripleS as an example of the potential of blockchain in the entertainment industry. Kim further stated that Japan's intellectual property and the Japanese yen as a global currency contribute to fostering Japan's blockchain ecosystem.
Ryuichi Nishida of B Dash Ventures commented that Japan is seeing practical use of stablecoins and the entry of financial institutions into Web3. This sentiment was echoed by Sony Bank, SMFG, and Densan System, who shared ongoing initiatives to advance stablecoin adoption and blockchain-based payment infrastructure.
