BMW kicks off careers for 117 trainees in Regensburg

In the bustling city of Regensburg, the BMW Group has welcomed 117 young minds into its training programme for 2022. The trainees, comprising 92 young men and 25 young women, are embarking on a significant step towards their professional future.

André Mandl, the works council chairman, emphasised the importance of this training phase, encouraging the new starters to actively shape their future. He highlighted that training is a crucial foundation for a successful career at BMW.

Sebastian Menzl, the training manager, emphasized the individual support opportunities available to the trainees. He assured them that they would receive all the necessary guidance and mentorship to excel in their chosen fields.

Many of the trainees have plans to start their career directly after completing their training. Some are already considering further steps, such as continuing with a technician or master qualification, a second apprenticeship, or even a degree.

The BMW Group offers a variety of training occupations and study opportunities in partnership. Trainees at BMW Group are eligible for benefits such as holiday and Christmas money, profit-sharing, and an additional pension. Moreover, the Group provides a contribution towards travel to vocational school for its trainees.

Upon successful completion of their training, the BMW Group offers a permanent employment contract. The Group also offers numerous career prospects, ensuring a smooth transition from training to a professional career.

Interestingly, for the beginning of the apprenticeship 2026 in the Regensburg plant, the BMW Group will particularly offer the training occupations of Mechatroniker and Fahrzeuglackierer, with several training places available in these fields.
