Board of SAR Televenture Grants Approval for Stock Exchange Agreement in Takeover of Dominant Share in Tikona Infinet, Valued at approximately INR 5.78 Billion
SAR Televenture, a leading network infrastructure company listed on the SME platform of NSE, has announced a significant move in the telecom industry. The company has acquired a majority stake in Tikona Infinet Limited, an internet service provider, for a total consideration of Rs. 578 crore.
Tikona Infinet Limited, holding an All India Unified License (ISP, Category-A) and National Long Distance (NLD) license, offers a wide range of telecom services, including Broadband, Lease Line, Virtual private networks (VPNs), and other value-added services. This acquisition will allow SAR Televenture to expand its service portfolio to include high-speed broadband, fibre-optic connectivity, and advanced 4G and 5G network solutions.
The integration of Tikona's expertise in enterprise data services aligns perfectly with SAR Televenture's vision for sustained growth and excellence. The new majority owner of Tikona Infinet, following the merger with SAR Televenture Limited, is Bharti Airtel.
SAR Televenture specializes in providing end-to-end telecom solutions, including Internet Service Provider (ISP) services, Infrastructure Provider (IP1) services, broadband, and enterprise connectivity solutions. With the acquisition, SAR Televenture strengthens its capabilities to provide seamless, high-speed connectivity solutions across the country.
Tikona Infinet Limited boasts a marquee customer base across diverse industries, with a presence in Top 25 cities positioned for high growth in enterprise connectivity, managed services, and more. This acquisition makes SAR Televenture the third largest player in the enterprise Broadband segment.
