Boats blazing intensely
Last evening, a fire broke out near Kratzbruch Island on Rummelsburg Lake in Friedrichshain. The incident, which occurred around 6:40 PM, started on a houseboat at a boat dock and led to several other boats catching fire.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. The owner of the houseboat was present at the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was caused by negligent arson.
The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters, resulting in seven boats being damaged. Law enforcement personnel were also involved in the incident.
