In an exciting turn of events, Bollywood stars Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday are set to collaborate once again, this time in the remake of the 1978 film, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. The film is being produced by Karan Johar in collaboration with Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora.
The film, which is expected to release in cinema halls on February 13, 2023, stars a star-studded cast including Jackie Shroff, Neena Gupta, and others. Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday have already started creating buzz around the film by sharing glimpses of their preparation on social media.
Recently, Kartik Aaryan shared a video of himself dancing on the iconic song "Jumma Chumma De De" from the original film Hum, which was picturised on megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Kimi Katkar. Ananya Panday joined Kartik in the video, and they performed the hookstep of the number. Kartik captioned the video with the lyrics "Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri."
Interestingly, the song "Jumma Chumma De De" was originally sung by Sudesh Bhosle and Kavita Krishnamurthy. The film Hum was an action crime drama directed by Mukul S Anand and starred Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Govinda, Kimi Katkar, Deepa Sahi, Shilpa Shirodkar, Danny Denzongpa, Anupam Kher, and Kader Khan. The film was the second highest-grossing Indian film of 1991 at the box office.
It's important to note that Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is not related to the story mentioned earlier about Tiger, Inspector Giridhar, and Bakhtawar. Similarly, the European cafe in Mumbai mentioned is not connected to the film industry or the earlier facts provided.
Kartik Aaryan has another untitled film with Anurag Basu scheduled for release in Diwali 2025.
