Border Control Encounters Unlawful Motorists: Violators Spotted in Traffic Checks (BPOLI LUD)

In a series of recent arrests, the Federal Police in Ludwigsdorf have apprehended four individuals for various traffic offences. The operations, which took place at motorway service areas and control points, were aimed at enforcing court orders and maintaining law and order.

The first incident involved a 27-year-old Slovak who was arrested near Görlitz for driving without a license. A fine was previously ordered by the Cottbus Local Court for this offence, and the individual, who had so far evaded paying the outstanding fine, paid €1,581 to the court in the presence of the officers using his credit card.

Simultaneously, a 48-year-old Polish traveler was arrested at a motorway service area. This individual was wanted by the Bayreuth Local Court for driving under the influence and owed €2,000 to settle the debts imposed by the court.

Unfortunately, the Polish citizen lacked the means to pay the fine on the spot and was taken to a detention facility. A detention warrant was also outstanding from the Görlitz Local Court, suspecting the individual of theft with weapons.

In a separate incident, a 34-year-old Polish citizen was arrested at the Görlitz city bridge for driving without a license. A fine of €1,600 was previously ordered by the Bautzen Local Court for this offence.

Lastly, a 46-year-old Polish citizen was arrested in the early hours of the morning. This individual owed €750 to the Frankfurt court due to a verdict by the Dillenburg Local Court for leaving the scene of an accident without permission, and €750 to the Frankfurt court due to a verdict by the Gießen Local Court for the same offence. The 46-year-old was taken to prison after his arrest due to lack of funds to avoid substitute imprisonment.
