Borovoe, March 2016's EAPT event - the second day
The Deep Stack tournament at EAPT CashVille Borovoe saw an exciting finish, with Aivar Akhmetov clinching the first-place victory and a prize of $4,362.
In a close race, Iliya Bartzev secured the second place, pocketing $2,950, while Svetlana Zhanysova placed third, earning $1,925. Insaf Saegdaraev came in fifth, taking home $1,155, and Mikhail Kharitonov finished fourth, winning $1,540. The tournament had nearly 60 entries, with payouts beginning at 6th place.
The Deep Stack tournament was not the only event of the day. On Day 3, EAPT CashVille Borovoe hosted three tournaments: the Kazakhstan Poker Championship, a Turbo, Day 1C, the Kazakhstan Poker Championship, Day 2, and a Classic 6-Max, each with a buy-in of $500 (guaranteeing $50,000) and $250 (guaranteeing $10,000), respectively.
Day 1B of the $500 Kazakhstan Poker Championship saw 55 entries, with 22 players advancing to Day 2. In total, 132 entries were recorded over the first two starting days, increasing the guaranteed $50,000 prize pool by nearly $15,000.
A satellite event during the EAPT CashVille offered 3 guaranteed seats to the Kazakhstan Poker Championship. More players than expected qualified, and the 6th place finisher received a consolation prize.
In a late-night event, Aivar, also known as "prokladka", emerged victorious in another $250 Deep Stack tournament. Forum members Ilya "Apple.4iH" finished second, and Insaf "insaf777" placed fifth.
The Turbo Satellite also saw some exciting action, with Ernat Tumanshiev winning first place, Arman Omarov coming in second, Timur Muhamedaminov taking third, Dias Vaisov finishing fourth, Aleksey Dy placing fifth, and Usup Razakov coming in sixth. Each winner took home $240.
The EAPT CashVille started its second day with a friendly football match between the Kazakh and Russian national teams, with the Russians winning 5-2.
