Boxer Gaballo faces off against Indian opponent in bout titled "Double Trouble"
Former interim World Boxing Council (WBC) bantamweight titleholder Reymart Gaballo is set to make his comeback on August 31, 2025, as he takes on Pawan Kumar Arya in the main event of Sanman Boxing Promotions' "Double Trouble" card at the Phela Grande Convention Center in Gen. Santos City.
Gaballo, who currently holds a record of 29-2 with 24 knockouts, suffered a setback last year with a knockout loss in the first round to Kenbun Torres. However, he has since bounced back with knockout wins over Jenny Boy Boca and James Pagaling.
Arya, on the other hand, is a formidable opponent with a record of 7-2 and five knockouts. He has won his last two bouts, beating Amarnath Yadav and Bikram Mallick.
The upcoming fight between Gaballo and Arya is a 10-round event. Gaballo is aiming to work his way back up the world rankings, as he is currently rated No. 7 by the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and No. 12 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF).
In another exciting match-up on the "Double Trouble" card, Criztian Pitt Laurente and Hebi Marapu will face off for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific lightweight strap. Laurente, a former amateur standout boxer, won the vacant IBF Pan Pacific lightweight title by unanimous decision against Marapu on the same day last year at the Phela Grande Convention Center.
The "Double Trouble" card promises to be an action-packed night of boxing, and fans are eagerly anticipating the return of Reymart Gaballo to the ring. With both fighters coming off impressive wins, the fight between Gaballo and Arya is sure to be a thrilling contest.
