BPOLI LUD: Fines and expenses reconciled, arrest warrant withdrawn
In a recent development, a 38-year-old Romanian man found himself in legal trouble in Germany. Four months ago, the Public Prosecutor's Office in Dresden issued an arrest warrant for him due to his offense of forgery of evidence.
The man had previously neglected to pay a fine imposed by the Local Court of Dippoldiswalde for this offense. His latest appearance in Germany was on the A4 Motorway at Görlitz, where he chose to continue his journey without settling the fine.
Upon entry, the Federal Police gave him a choice: pay up or be taken into custody. In response, the man transferred 1,581.00 euros to settle the fine and court costs.
This is not the first time the man has entered Germany via the A4 Motorway at Görlitz. He had previously been given the same choice by the Federal Police.
The arrest warrant for the 38-year-old Romanian man has now been lifted. For more information, you can contact the Press Spokesman Michael Engler at 0 35 81 - 3626-6110 or email [email protected].
