BPOLI Trials: Fine and expenses settlement, arrest warrant withdrawn

In an incident that occurred at the Görlitz location on the A4 Motorway yesterday evening, a 38-year-old Romanian national found himself in the hands of the German Federal Police. The man had an arrest warrant issued against him four months ago by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Dresden due to his failure to pay a fine imposed by the Local Court of Dippoldiswalde for forgery of evidence.

Upon entry into Germany, the Federal Police presented the man with a choice: pay up and continue his journey, or be taken into custody. The man chose to settle the fine and procedural costs, transferring 1,581.00 euros, which was sufficient to cover the amount owed.

With the payment made, the arrest warrant was lifted, and the man was allowed to continue his journey. The Federal Police Inspectorate Ludwigsdorf can provide further information about this incident.

The man's offense involved forgery of evidence, for which he was issued a fine by the Local Court of Dippoldiswalde. The name of the individual is not publicly disclosed.
