Brazil triumphs over Chile in the Qualifiers, thanks to the introduction of Kaio Jorge from Cruzeiro

Brazil secured a hard-fought victory against Chile in a match that served as an opportunity for new national team coach Carlo Ancelotti to test players for future games and prepare for the 2026 World Cup.

The second half of the match at the Maracanã was particularly exciting, with goals from Lucas Paquetá and Bruno Guimarães, both assisted by Luis Henrique. Kaio Jorge made his debut for the Brazilian national team at 25 minutes into the second half, but unfortunately, he was unable to find the back of the net in the match.

The first half of the game presented challenges for Brazil, as they struggled to create real danger against Chile's tightly packed defense. However, Ancelotti's strategic changes in the second half proved to be the turning point, leading to the eventual victory.

Ancelotti deliberately omitted several established stars like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Neymar, and Éder Militão to test new options. One of the players he chose to debut was Fabrício Bruno, who was promoted for the Brazilian national team and marked his first appearance in the squad.

Defender Ivan Román, from Atlético Minas Gerais, started for Chile in the match against Brazil. The victory over Chile moved Brazil up to second place in the qualifiers, with 28 points.

Looking ahead, Brazil will face Bolivia in El Alto, Bolivia, in the final round of qualifiers. So far, Ancelotti has two wins and a draw as the national team coach, crowned with qualification for the World Cup.

Raphinha's involvement in Estevão's goal showcases the promising collective play that Ancelotti is working to develop in the team. Bruno, from Cruzeiro, remained on the bench during the match against Chile.

Overall, the match against Chile was a valuable learning experience for both the players and the coach, as they continue to build towards the 2026 World Cup. Ancelotti's unbeaten record as national team coach remains intact, and Brazil will look to continue their winning streak in the upcoming matches.
