Break-ins, mishaps, cable thefts, reported by Pol-RT
In the past week, several incidents have taken place across our region, ranging from burglaries to traffic accidents. Here's a summary of the events that have occurred.
Burglary in Reutlingen
An unknown perpetrator gained access to an apartment building on Darrenstraße through the balcony, committing a burglary between 3:00 PM on Sunday and 3:30 PM on Monday. The thief made off with two valuable cables worth approximately €1,000, including a 50-meter long high-voltage cable and another cable located on the building's rear side. The Reutlingen-Nord police post and specialists from the criminal police have initiated investigations into the burglary.
Cable Theft in Tailfingen
A cable theft occurred on a construction site in Tailfingen, Auf Lichtenbol street, between Thursday, 5:00 PM, and Monday, 3:00 PM. The Albstadt-Tailfingen police post is currently investigating the incident.
Traffic Accidents
On Tuesday morning, a traffic accident occurred on Reutlingen Straße, causing approximately €18,000 worth of damage. The accident, which took place around 9:30 AM, involved a 74-year-old driver of a VW Touran and a 22-year-old driver of a Mercedes Sprinter. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles had to be towed away.
On Monday afternoon, a traffic accident involving an injured motorcyclist occurred on Bundesstraße 463. The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old riding a Suzuki, veered off the road to the right, hit the guardrail, and fell to the ground. The motorcyclist was wearing protective clothing and was taken to a clinic with minor injuries.
In Tübingen, a traffic accident occurred while changing lanes, but no further details were provided.
Break-in in Filderstadt
In the early hours of Tuesday, a break-in occurred at a bar near Sielminger Rathausplatz in Filderstadt. The perpetrator(s) forced open the entrance door and violently tampered with several vending machines and cash registers. The value of the stolen goods and the extent of property damage are still unknown. The Filderstadt police station has taken up the investigation into the break-in, but no suspects' names have been disclosed as the case remains under investigation.
Arrest in Reutlingen
In a recent development, the suspect involved in the Reutlingen case is a 36-year-old German woman. She was arrested following investigations, including video evidence, and a detention warrant was issued by the court in Tübingen.
