Logistics company Gebruder Weiss gains significant control over Sienzi Lojistik, a Turkish logistics firm, for larger market reach.

Brothers Weiss secured a significant ownership in Sienzi Logistics of Turkey, aiming to expand their geographical reach.

International transportation and logistics company Gebruder Weiss is set to strengthen its presence in Turkey with the acquisition of Istanbul-based customs and warehouse logistics provider Sienzi Lojistik. The transaction, subject to regulatory approval, is scheduled to close in January 2026.

Sienzi Lojistik, a well-established player in the Turkish logistics industry, will operate as an independent entity under the name Sienzi Lojistik - a Company of Gebruder Weiss. Murat Dogan, who also serves as vice president of the Turkish Customs Warehouse Association, will remain managing director and continue to hold a stake in the business.

The strategic move aims to deliver integrated, one-stop logistics solutions for customers with demanding supply chain requirements. For Sienzi Lojistik, the acquisition brings its customs warehousing expertise into the Gebruder Weiss network, broadening its service portfolio.

Gebruder Weiss and Sienzi Lojistik have a history of working together in Turkey for approximately 10 years. Dogan believes the acquisition enhances Sienzi Lojistik's competitiveness, while also emphasising Turkey's role in international trade through the collaboration.

Following the acquisition, Gebruder Weiss plans to explore new business segments, including textiles and industrial clients. The company also aims to strengthen its Istanbul hub as a full-service logistics center. Dogan states that the collaboration with Gebruder Weiss, a traditional logistics company, will further enhance Sienzi Lojistik's service offerings.

In January 2026, the company Ekol Logistics acquired a majority stake in Sienzi Lojistik. However, no new information about Sienzi Lojistik operating as an independent entity under the name Sienzi Lojistik - a Company of Gebruder Weiss was provided.

The acquisition strengthens Gebruder Weiss's foothold in the Turkish market, positioning the company for continued growth and success in the region. The move is expected to benefit both companies, as well as their customers, by providing more comprehensive logistics solutions and enhancing their combined competitiveness in the market.
