Brutal Assaults in Dusseldorf Oberbilk Lead to Arrest Warrants for Three Young Suspected Robbers
In the heart of Düsseldorf, Germany, a series of disturbing incidents unfolded last week. On Wednesday evening (12.2.), around 00:30, a trio of robbers targeted a 46-year-old man from Dortmund in the old town. The victim was assaulted, and his bag containing sweets and toiletries was attempted to be snatched.
The trio, consisting of three individuals aged 14, 14, and 24, accompanied the victim to Düsseldorf Central Station and a nearby park before the attack. The 24-year-old suspect initially fled but was arrested the next day at his father's apartment. The two 14-year-old suspects were arrested nearby.
The 35-year-old homeless man was assaulted around the same time in the same location. The trio used punches, kicks, and a metal chain in the attack. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
All three suspects are known to the police and had arrest warrants issued by a judge. The 24-year-old and one of the 14-year-olds were remanded in custody, while the other 14-year-old was released under conditions.
Investigations into the incidents are ongoing, and the search results do not mention the identity of the father of the 24-year-old perpetrator who was arrested in connection with the attacks by the gang. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
