Burglars steal money and jewelry following an apartment break-in, criminal investigators search for additional evidence

A burglary took place in an apartment on the upper floor of a multi-family dwelling in Elmshorn's Ellerndamm area on July 24, 2025. The original content of this report comes from the Police Directorate Bad Segeberg.

Between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, the unknown individuals gained entry through the main door of the building. The estimated total damage from the burglary is approximately 2,500 euros. The unknown perpetrator made off with cash, a gold ring, and a gold bracelet.

Around 10:30 AM, a suspicious person was observed near the multi-family dwelling. The individual was described as being between 165 and 170 cm tall, of slim build, with a full beard and short black hair. The suspicious person was also seen making a phone call.

The Pinneberg Criminal Police are currently investigating the connection of this suspicious person to the crime. Anyone with information about the crime, the described person, or any other suspicious persons is urged to come forward.
