Burst through the concrete barrier for access to the automated teller machine
In the quiet night of Sunday to Monday (September 1st), unknown individuals attempted a break-in at an SB branch located on Am Krieler Dom/Heimerskeiler Straße in Cologne-Sülz. The Criminal Investigation Unit 71 is currently accepting tips about this incident.
According to the latest information, the individuals gained access to the branch by bending back the grating of a window facing Heimerskeiler Straße between 11 pm and 1 am. They then proceeded to drill through the wall behind the cash machine in the practice rooms. However, their efforts to access the safe during the break-in attempt were unsuccessful.
In a more disturbing turn of events, the individuals also managed to gain access to an adjacent medical practice. They picked the lock to enter the premises, but the exact details of what transpired inside the medical practice are currently unknown.
The police are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward. Tips can be provided by calling 0221 229-0 or via email at [email protected]. Despite the search efforts, no information has been found yet about who attempted to tear off the ATM or the exact publication date of the incident.
