Bus service on route 24E in Silver Heights resumes from Monday onwards
The city of Halle is currently undergoing a construction project on Freyburger Street, causing disruptions to several bus lines, including the popular bus line 24. In response to these disruptions, the Halle Transport Company (HAVAG) has announced the reinstatement of the Express Bus Line 24E, effective from Monday, September 8, 2025.
The 24E bus line will be operational in the Silberhöhe area, specifically supplementing the disrupted bus line 24. This decision was made by a member or representative of the local public transportation authority or city council responsible for transit planning, with the aim of alleviating the impact of the construction on bus services in the city.
However, it's important to note that the ongoing construction on Freyburger Street is still causing detours for bus lines 24, 97, and X1, including the 24E line. The detours for these bus lines are not being addressed by the reinstatement of the 24E bus line.
Despite the return of the 24E line, bus lines 24, 97, and X1 will continue to be affected by the disruptions caused by the construction site. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra travel time due to the ongoing detours.
The resumption of the 24E bus line does not affect the routes of the other bus lines, which will continue to operate as per their normal schedules, subject to the detours caused by the construction site.
The HAVAG encourages all commuters to stay updated with the latest information regarding bus services and detours, which can be found on their official website or social media channels. By doing so, commuters can ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey during this period of construction.
