Bus slams on brakes due to unidentified pedestrian crossing path, seeking eyewitness accounts for further investigation
In a surprising turn of events, an incident occurred on Eppinghofer Street in Mülheim an der Ruhr last Friday (15th August). At approximately 5:20 PM, an unidentified woman crossed the road just before the "Heißener Street" bus stop, causing a bus traveling towards Mellinghofer Street to suddenly brake.
The bus driver, a 37-year-old individual, had to apply the brakes sharply to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, this sudden braking caused an 83-year-old passenger to fall and sustain minor injuries. The injured individual, a Mülheim resident, was subsequently transported to the hospital.
The identity of the unknown woman who caused the accident has not been disclosed. After crossing the road, she continued in an unknown direction. The condition of the unknown pedestrian is also not known at this time.
