CBO's David Palzeaird Shortlisted for IIBA UK Business Analyst of the Year Award

David Palzeaird, a principal business analyst at CBO Projects, has been shortlisted for the prestigious IIBA UK Business Analyst of the Year Award 2025. This recognition comes as a testament to his significant contributions to the business analysis practice in the UK, particularly in the Channel Islands.

The consultancy firm's Director of Business Analysis, Ed Mason-Smith, celebrated Palzeaird's business analysis expertise and high-quality work. "David is a true ambassador for the business analysis profession," Mason-Smith said. "His work has been instrumental in building CBO's business analysis practice in Jersey and Guernsey."

Palzeaird's nomination for the award is a celebration of his work and dedication to business analysis. He has been focusing on building a true understanding of business analysis across the Channel Islands. His purpose over the past year has been to champion business analysis in the region, to cultivate the best possible working environment for the Business Analysts he works with at CBO, and to deliver excellent Business Analysis for clients.

Palzeaird's work has not only contributed to the growth of CBO but also to the wider business analysis industry. He is a founding member of the Channel Island Business Analysts (CIBA) and has been maturing CBO's business analysis knowledge. His contributions extend to the collaborative aspects of the profession, fostering resilience, analysis, and modelling within the industry.

Palzeaird expressed his honour at being shortlisted alongside talented business analysts and representing CBO and the Channel Islands within the industry. "I am thrilled to be shortlisted for the BA of the Year award," he said. "It's a privilege to be recognised for the work I do and to represent CBO and the Channel Islands in the business analysis industry."

The eight finalists for the award will be guests at the annual IRM UK Business Analysis Conference Europe in London next month. The winner of the award will be announced live at the conference on Monday, 15th September 2025. As a finalist, Palzeaird has already secured a place in the Business Analyst of the Year Hall of Fame.

Palzeaird's work is not only recognised within his own team but also by his clients. His delivery of excellent Business Analysis for clients at CBO has been commended for its quality and impact.
