Chloris Geospatial, a venture-backed technology company operating at the intersection of space-tech and nature-tech, is on a mission to accelerate the global transition to a net-zero and nature-positive economy. The company is renowned for its industry-leading technology that measures the amount of carbon stored in terrestrial ecosystems, using state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to fuse data from multiple Earth observation satellites.

The company is now seeking a Senior Business Development Manager in Southeast Asia to lead commercial growth and partnerships in the region. This full-time role requires a candidate with 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, or sales within climate tech, geospatial analytics, SaaS, sustainability, or carbon markets.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will own and drive the sales pipeline, establishing and maintaining customer relationships, collaborating on market strategy, leading proposal development, identifying strategic partnerships, monitoring market intelligence, maintaining CRM & reporting, and providing regular updates to the leadership team.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's or Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Sustainability Studies, Environmental Sciences, or similar fields is required. The candidate should have a deep understanding of the market and policy environment for scaling nature-based solutions, including standards and protocols in the voluntary carbon markets, and corporate sustainability protocols such as SBTi and the GHG Protocol LSRG.

Experience working with satellite Earth observation or remote sensing data products is desired. The role requires a strong regional network in the voluntary carbon market and with companies in the forest, land use, and agriculture sector.

Travel and Location

The role involves regular business travels (approximately 20% of the time) for attending industry conferences and in-person meetings with customers and colleagues. The successful candidate is based in a central location such as Singapore, Jakarta, or Kuala Lumpur.
