Caesars Entertainment to Rebrand Harvey's Lake Tahoe as Caesars Republic come Summer Season
Caesars Entertainment's plans for Lake Tahoe are shaking things up, as Harveys Lake Tahoe prepares for a major transformation into Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe. After a whopping $160 million revamp, this resort is set to blend contemporary design with Tahoe's natural beauty. The overhaul has already begun, with phases rolling out until July 1, 2025, when the official transition occurs.
Sure, construction will take a breather during the bustling summer season before picking up again later in the year. Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe marks the second property under the Caesars Republic brand, following its debut in Scottsdale in 2024. Close by, Harrah's Lake Tahoe, situated across the street, also gets a makeover to match the Caesars Republic refurbishment.
The transformation goes beyond a simple name change. Marnell Companies lead the charge to refresh the entire 1.6 million-square-foot property. Highlights include an updated 88,000-square-foot casino floor, boasting modern lighting, new gaming machines, a High Limit Room, and a dedicated World Series of Poker Room. Visitors can expect improved rooms in the Remus Tower, while the Romulus Tower gets select upgrades.
The fancy lobby will get a fresh new look, complete with Cleo's Coffee and Cocktails, which transitions from a café to a posh lounge depending on the time of day. WOLF by Vanderpump and Gordon Ramsay HELL'S KITCHEN will continue as dining options. According to Anthony Carano, President and COO of Caesars Entertainment, the updates aim to deliver a modern resort experience that showcases Tahoe's stunning landscapes.
As things stand, Harrah's Lake Tahoe is in line for some enhancements too, including Summit Suites renovations and the opening of Brew Brothers, a cozy spot offering craft beer and eats. Both properties will benefit from tech and infrastructure improvements. The rebranding and renovation project seek to strike a balance between Lake Tahoe's rich history and modern luxury.
Harveys Lake Tahoe, initially opened as a modest café in 1944, has grown to be the largest casino in Lake Tahoe. Now, under the Caesars Republic name, this resort is poised to merge its storied past with a trendy, modern identity.
