Caesars Palace Records Remarkable November Revenue, Indicating Potential Future Development

Larry Henry, a seasoned print and broadcast journalist, has a notable history in the gaming industry, particularly in states with casinos and sports betting. His work as a political editor for the Las Vegas Sun and managing editor at KFSM-TV is a testament to his extensive career.

In mid-August, Caesars Palace entered the Michigan online casino market as a standalone platform. Since its inception, it's been fighting for a spot against BetRivers Casino and has shown promising performance, now ranked fourth in the market. The Michigan Gaming Control Board's November revenue data reveals Caesars Palace generated a record-breaking $9.1 million for the month, surpassing its September revenue of $7.2 million. Adding to the momentum, October's revenue of $5.9 million was increased by $2 million. This uptick suggests a thriving dynamic within the online casino Michigan sector. Caesars Palace held a 5.2% market share in Michigan during November.

Enhancing the Caesars Casino Experience

Caesars Palace serves as an upgraded and standalone version of the Caesars online casino, integrated with Caesars Sportsbook. By utilizing the standalone app, players gain access to a larger selection of games (over 600 slots) and casino-specific promotions via their Caesars Rewards program. Caesars aims to refine the quality of the lobby, having partnered with developer EveryMatrix in November to wear its Armadillo Studios game catalog.

In early November, Caesars Palace announced its acquisition of hybrid dealer games from Inspired Entertainment. This game type is a trending fusion of computer-generated images, random number generators, and enhanced casino gaming features. The focus on enhancing the lobby indicates Caesars' commitment to maintaining competitive edge across multiple markets.

Rapid Expansion in 2023

While the original casino section of the Caesars Sportsbook is still operational, players have been able to access casino games via the sportsbook app since the launch of the new Caesars Palace Casino. The exact revenue split between the online casino attached to the sportsbook and the new platform is unknown, but the new casino app's rapid growth since its launch is evident. Since debuting independently in August, Caesars Palace has generated a lifetime revenue of $29.1 million, while the original Caesars Casino raked in $55.6 million for the first eight months of 2023.

Before the launch of the new casino app, Caesars saw a 28.6% growth in revenue over the first seven months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022. These numbers paint a picture of continuous growth since the new Caesars Palace Casino's launch, but the full picture of its performance in 2023 will become clear by the end of January 2024, when the Michigan Gaming Control Board releases its revenue report for December and provides an annual summary.
