The British Ambassador to Morocco, Mr. Clive Alderton, marked a significant cultural milestone in Marrakech on Saturday, 26 April, by officially opening Cafe Clock Marrakech. The event was attended by members of the local community, including members of the British community living in the city.

Cafe Clock Marrakech is more than just a café; it serves as a platform for interaction between various cultures, a venue for dialogue, culture, and art. The café is distinctive in reviving the Hikayat [storytelling] tradition, a rich part of Morocco's cultural heritage.

Clive Alderton expressed delight in supporting the opening of Cafe Clock Marrakech, emphasising the importance of cultural traditions in the café's ethos. He noted the continuation of Cafe Clock's success from its original location in Fez.

The new café offers a space for interaction between Moroccans and the British - and wider international - community. It was joined by a number of local artists and intellectuals during its opening.

According to Clive Alderton, Cafe Clock Marrakech offers good food and atmosphere as part of its new venture. He believes the café will contribute to the platform for interaction between various cultures, highlighting the shared cultural traditions between the UK and Morocco as ancient monarchies.

The opening of Cafe Clock Marrakech was marked by the presence of the British Ambassador, Clive Alderton, and took place on a Saturday. Cafe Clock Marrakech is a continuation of the success of Cafe Clock in Fez, open since 2006.
