Capitol Square hosts the annual return of Taste of Madison event
The City of Madison is hosting its annual Taste of Madison on the Capitol Square for Labor Day weekend, with over 80 vendors offering a variety of dishes, beverages, and live entertainment.
One of the local vendors at the event is The Roost, serving up fried chicken sandwiches, sliders, fries, and more. Nate Krause, the owner of The Roost, expressed his enthusiasm about sharing their dishes with the community. One of the most popular menu items at The Roost this year is the "Badgerville Spicy" fried chicken sandwich, seasoned with a spicy dry rub, dipped in honey butter, topped with pickles, and coleslaw.
Country Financial, a company that offers insurance and retirement planning services, is presenting the Taste of Madison. Country Financial District Leader Tom Bader expressed his excitement about participating in the event. People can learn about Country Financial's services at their tent during the Taste of Madison. Bader also mentioned that the company enjoys working with small businesses and meeting community members.
As part of their participation, Country Financial is offering a contest with a chance to win Wisconsin Badgers tickets.
Bader stated that the Taste of Madison runs from 2 p.m. on Saturday until 9 p.m., and on Sunday, it runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The event is free to enter.
Each year, Taste of Madison donates over $70,000 to local charities. Krause mentioned that meeting new people and the camaraderie among industry peers are enjoyable aspects of the event.
Although the organizer of Taste of Madison 2025 in Madison, Wisconsin, is not yet confirmed, general knowledge suggests that local event companies or tourism bureaus typically organise these events.
