Car accident involving a head-on collision leaves two individuals hurt
On September 1, 2021, a traffic accident occurred on the Hellweg in Hamm-Rhynern. The incident involved a Peugeot and a Ford, causing serious injuries to the 58-year-old driver of the Ford, who hails from Hamm, and minor injuries to the 65-year-old driver of the Peugeot, from Warstein.
The accident took place at around 9 a.m., leading to the closure of the Hellweg between Dorchkamp and Wilhelm-Lange-Straße for the duration of the investigation. The involved vehicles were so severely damaged that they had to be towed away.
Both injured parties were promptly attended to by the fire department and taken to local hospitals. The 65-year-old driver from Warstein was discharged after outpatient treatment, but the 58-year-old driver from Hamm remains in stationary treatment.
