Car Accident on A93 in Elsendorf Resulting in Injuries
At around 3:30 AM, a 74-year-old man from Prague was driving a motorhome on the A93 towards Holledau. For unknown reasons, the man veered off the road to the right, colliding with the right-hand guardrail. The impact caused the motorhome to overturn onto its side.
The accident scene was immediately cordoned off, and the recovery operation was undertaken by PI Mainburg / FH. The overturned motorhome came to a halt across the road, causing the closure of the Holledau-bound lane on the A93. The closure lasted for approximately two hours.
During the recovery operation, two individuals, believed to be the occupants of the motorhome, were lightly injured. Fortunately, the recovery operation did not result in any further reported injuries.
The accident caused significant property damage, with the total estimated cost now known to be in the lower five-figure range. The incident occurred between the junctions Elsendorf and Aiglsbach.
The agency responsible for the recovery was able to clear the accident scene by approximately 5:30 AM, allowing traffic to resume on the A93 highway.
This incident serves as a reminder to all road users to drive safely and cautiously, especially during late-night hours. The authorities urge drivers to be mindful of their speed and to always stay within their lane.
