Car Collision Near Langenzenn, Germany: Three Individuals Sustain Injuries
On August 12, 2025, a significant traffic accident occurred on the B8 near Langenzenn. The incident involved a truck rear-ending two stationary small trucks, resulting in substantial property damage and injuries to those involved.
Several road users reported the accident to the Middle Franconia Police's operations center around 8:15 AM. Emergency services, including firefighters from nearby stations, were swiftly dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that a small truck had broken down on the right side of the two-lane road before the accident. A 30-year-old truck driver from the same company stopped his vehicle behind the broken-down truck to provide assistance. Unfortunately, he was hit by one of the parked trucks and sustained severe injuries. He was transported to a hospital via rescue helicopter.
The 61-year-old truck driver and the driver of the broken-down truck, aged 27, also sustained injuries and were taken to hospitals for medical treatment.
The police from Fürth's traffic department is investigating the accident, with an expert in accident reconstruction called in at the request of the public prosecutor's office. The accident site was cleared around 13:30 PM, and the affected section of the B8 was closed for the duration of the accident investigation and subsequent towing of the vehicles.
