On Saturday evening, a burning car was reported in the Holzen-Rettingen area, prompting a swift response from multiple emergency services.
The fire brigade in Holzen, the rescue service in Hagelstein, and the main fire station in Neheim were all alerted to the incident. The Arnsberg City Fire Department, along with the Hagelstein Rescue Station and the main fire station in Neheim, also joined the operation.
Upon arrival, the emergency services found a vehicle off the road, lying on its roof and fully ablaze. The occupant of the burning car had already left the vehicle before the fire services arrived.
The burning car was extinguished using a C-pipe, and the L682 was completely closed during the operation to ensure the safety of those involved and to facilitate the firefighting efforts.
Following the extinguishing of the fire, the occupant of the burning car was subsequently cared for by the rescue service. The exact location of the incident within the Holzen-Rettingen area is not specified.
Despite extensive search results, information about which fire department was deployed on the night before Sunday to extinguish vehicle fires in the Holzen-Rettingen area could not be found. The police were also involved in the operation.
The L682 remained closed during the operation to extinguish the burning car, causing some disruption to traffic in the area. The emergency services worked diligently to ensure the incident was brought under control as quickly and safely as possible.
